About Me

My photo
Taunya Jones
Taunya Jones artistry incorporates "Alla Prima" or Classical/Dutch Old Masters techniques with emphasis on light to achieve a sense of quiet beauty or drama in her paintings. Her subject matter may be still life or lanscapes, but the real subject of her work is the light as it moves from one object to another. Light is, in fact, what Jones calls "the concept" of the painting. Taunya has studied with instuctors, Master Artist Rowe Harrison, Acrylic Master Jon McNaughton and most recently, Master Artist Daniel Edmondson. The greatest satisfactions and joy of her life come from her family and her passion for painting!
